Sports Business Insurance
Looking to insure a sports business?
If so, it's vitally important to know you're suitably insured as heavy compensation payouts can have devastating effects for any business. At DareDirect we specialise in bespoke policies offering employers liability, public liability and product liability insurance for sports businesses so that you can avoid this happening to you.
So, what do you need?
Employers Liability Insurance
If your business employs anybody, it is compulsory by law to have employers liability insurance. This will protect your company against the financial consequences of claims made by an employee who has suffered injury, death or illness at work. When you take out a policy you will receive a certificate which must be displayed in an area where employees can easily read it.
*Please note that if an individual does not exclusively work for you (i.e. you use self employed coaches) then we will consider them to be sub-contractors and therefore you will not be required to cover them under employer's liability, provided they have their own public liability insurance.
Public Liability Insurance
This will protect your company against the financial consequences of claims that a member of the public may make as a result of injury or damage to them or their property. The majority of Sports Businesses interact with the public; the law states that if you or your business cause damage to someone or their property then you will have to pay for damages. A public liability policy will cover you and your business should the worst occur.
Product Liability Insurance
This willl protect your company against the financial consequences of damage or injury caused to another person or business by the failure of your goods (including food and drink) or those you have sold, repaired or serviced.
If you sell, supply or deliver goods, even in the form of repair or service, you may need cover against claims of goods causing injury or damage. Product liability insurance covers damage or injury caused to another person or business by the failure of your product or the product you are selling.
