Sports & Social Club Liability Insurance
Who is covered
Sports & Social Clubs require adequate insurance to protect the clubs players, visitors, spectators and of course the committee members. Sports & Social liability insurance will provide protection for the club should any of these individuals injure themselves and look to make a claim. Employer's liability will be required in the instance where the club has employees either on a part or full time basis.
What is Covered
Sports & Social Club liability Insurance covers various exposures and is created around the clubs activities, membership, and where applicable the property size and value. The key areas that a sports & social club liability insurance policy covers are Public Liability, Employers Liability and Property Insurance. They can be explained as follows:
Public Liability
This will cover up to the amount insured should the club become legally liable to pay for compensation when an individual makes a claim or series of claims against the club or its members in respect of bodily injury, illness, death or property damage. We offer up to £10m worth of indemnity for protection against 3rd party claims.
Employer’s liability
Insures your sports club against any claims from staff that you might employ. This is compulsory if employees are based in England, Scotland or Wales (including offshore installations or associated structures). The Employers' Liability Act 1969 requires you to have at least a minimum level of insurance cover. In order for your club to be insured through Dare Direct you must have employer’s liability in place if your club has volunteers, helpers or paid members of staff. At DareDirect we can include employer's liability with up to £10m level of indemnity within our sports & social liability insurance.
